This page says who publishes Draw Daily, how to reach us, and who hosts the site. It is the equivalent of a French mentions légales page or a German Impressum. For how we handle personal data, read the Privacy Policy. For the rules of using the site, read the Terms of Use.

Publisher

Draw Daily (https://drawdaily.app) is published by DFRT Limited. In this notice, "DFRT Limited", "we", "us" and "our" all mean the same company.

The canonical address of the site is the bare domain, drawdaily.app. Requests to www.drawdaily.app are redirected there.

Contact

Email is the only way to reach us: hello@drawdaily.app. It is a monitored inbox and a person reads it. We do not operate a phone line, and we have not appointed a data protection officer, because we are not required to have one.

DFRT Limited is the data controller for the personal data collected through this site and the daily email. Privacy requests go to the same address, including access, correction, erasure and objection under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and data access and data correction requests under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The Privacy Policy sets out those rights and how we answer them.

Hosting

The website, its pages and its serverless functions are hosted by Vercel (vercel.com), which also provides the page-view analytics used on the site. Those analytics are privacy-friendly: they produce aggregate figures and do not use cookies to follow individuals from site to site.

The database, the file storage that holds the reference sketch images, and the sign-in system are provided by Supabase (supabase.com). Our Supabase project is hosted in the European Union, in the eu-west-1 region (Ireland).

Email is sent through Resend and inbound mail to our contact address is forwarded by ImprovMX. The full list of providers, with what each one does and where it processes data, is in the Privacy Policy.

What Draw Daily is

We publish one pencil-drawing lesson per day. A lesson gives you a subject, a difficulty level, a skill focus, a suggested duration, a short description, ordered steps, a few pro tips, a self-evaluation prompt and a reference sketch. Every lesson goes on the site and is emailed each morning to anyone who has subscribed. Past lessons stay available in the archive, alongside a set of longer written guides.

You can also create an optional account, which lets you mark lessons as complete and see your streak and practice history. Reading the lessons and receiving the daily email work perfectly well without one.

The whole thing is free. There is no paid tier and nothing to buy.

Lesson text and images are generated by AI

We want to be straightforward about this, so it is stated here and in the Terms of Use. The lesson text is written by an AI model (OpenAI GPT-4o). The reference sketch images are produced by an AI image model (OpenAI gpt-image-2). No human art teacher writes or reviews each daily lesson before it goes out.

No personal data goes to OpenAI. The generation prompt contains only the lesson parameters (level, skill focus, duration, difficulty) and a list of subjects already used, so the model does not repeat itself. Subscriber addresses, accounts and completion records are not part of it.

The lessons and guides are general educational information, not professional art instruction, and they are not a substitute for a teacher, a class or a qualified professional. AI output can be wrong, oddly proportioned or misleading, so treat a lesson as a prompt to practise rather than as authoritative technique. If something looks wrong, tell us at hello@drawdaily.app and we will look at it.

Intellectual property

The site itself, meaning its code, design, layout, written guides, the "Draw Daily" name and the way the lesson archive is put together, belongs to DFRT Limited. All rights are reserved, apart from the permissions given in the Terms of Use.

The daily lesson text and the reference images are machine-generated, and the copyright status of AI output is unsettled in many countries. We do not claim more protection over that material than the law actually gives us. You are welcome to draw from the lessons, save them, print them, and use them to teach a class or a drawing group free of charge, as long as you keep the attribution. What that licence does not cover, such as selling or redistributing the material or copying the archive in bulk, is set out in section 9 of the Terms of Use.

Anything you draw is yours. We do not ask for your drawings and we have no way to receive them, since there is no upload feature.

OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Resend and ImprovMX are the trademarks of their respective owners and are named here only to describe who does what.

Reporting a problem

If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, is inaccurate, or should not be published, write to hello@drawdaily.app with the page address and a short explanation. We will review it and, where the complaint is well founded, correct or remove the content.

Changes to this notice

We update this page whenever the company details, the hosting arrangements or the tools behind the site change. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
